Invisalign
If you’re living with crooked teeth, you know it can cause a lot of embarrassment and low self-esteem. You may not smile as often as you would like, you may not show your teeth in pictures, and for some, it can even prevent them from being social and living their life to the fullest. Thankfully, with Invisalign, you don’t have to add insult to injury by wearing metal braces and putting your life on hold for two or more years. Invisalign can straighten your teeth while allowing your natural smile to shine through treatment.
Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to apply pressure and gently shift teeth into their desired position. Invisalign aligners are easily removable so you can eat whatever foods you want and maintain optimum oral hygiene throughout treatment. Invisalign treatment can often be completed in a fraction of the time compared to traditional braces with average treatment times of only one year.
The Invisalign Process
First, you will come in for a consultation with Dr. Baldy to determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign. If you require significant bite alteration or movement along the vertical axis, we may have to consider traditional braces.
Once you get the green light, you will come back to have impressions taken. We can even show you what your new smile will look like through advanced digital imaging software. Your impressions will be sent to Invisalign lab to have your treatment plan and aligners created.
You will receive a few sets of aligners at a time, switching to the next set every week or every other week, depending on your individual treatment plan. You will return to our office every four to six weeks to receive your next sets of aligners, track your treatment progress and make sure everything is going smoothly.
You will begin to see your smile magically transforming before your eyes, and before you know it, your treatment will be complete and you’ll have the straight, beautiful, confident smile you’ve always wanted.
Invisalign Touch-Up
Invisalign Touch-up is the perfect solution for those patients who have experienced minor movements or for patients that have a slight gap in their front teeth. It works to treat minor problems in the front six teeth in just three to six months. Invisalign Touch-up works the same way as full Invisalign treatment, just fewer aligners needed for results.
